There is still no official source. It's bad enough that I hear people constantly comparing Mega to Atom like some rip-off.

A lot of things are changed or assumed in America. What the television said was NOT official source and shall therefore be considered not truthful. Unless Capcom themselves states it, I will not hear a thing about it.

Even the Japanese have trouble learning the various ways of writings. So it's common to see alternative writings used as an aid, even in today.
