Re: ASTRO BOY 1960s CHRISTMAS SHOWS

Good, I have that episode on an MP4 file.
The Christmas bit was at the very end of the episode, shown in Atoms house with his family. Except where was Cobalt? He should have been there.

Re: ASTRO BOY 1960s CHRISTMAS SHOWS

I bought both of the DVD collections from "The right stuff", so I have all of the 103 episodes broadcast in English, plus some 'extras'. I also have some downloads of the "missing" episodes in Japanese.

Same age here. I wish I understood Japanese so I could better enjoy the "missing" 1963 episodes.

Re: Astroboy 80s Press Releases

BTW Iron is the final fusion product in dying stars. Argon is a noble gas. Titanium is a metal that has one of the highest melting temperatures of any metalic element, it was used in the airframe of the SR-71 Blackbird. Cobalt is a somewhat uncommon material, and used in batteries for EV's (though t...

Re: Astroboy 80s Press Releases

Daddy Walrus (Daddy Moustache) was also called "Albert Duncan" IIRC. BTW, it seems Tezua used alot of "element" names for the robots. Atom (Astro), Uranium, (Uran), Cobalt (Kobaruto), and Titanium (Chi-Tan), There many have been others.. In one of my fan fiction stories, I create...

Re: Astroboy 80s Press Releases

Well the DVD I bought had Daddy Walrus and Zoran for names. Was the Canadian dub sold in both markets? Also when Hulu was streaming both the 1980 and 2003 series (over ten years ago now), those were the names in use.

Re: Astroboy 80s Press Releases

But they show the Japanese names (translated to English). Uran was called Zoran in the US dub, and Daddy Mustache had a different name too. How I wish Cobalt had been in the 1980 series, and that they might have added Chi-tan too!

Re: Jeffbert's Mighty Atom book

Writing your own bio can be a pain, but just create a brief outline. You might have written a resume at one time, and that will suffice for the career info. Be honest with them that this will be your first published work (it is, isn't it?), and refer them to this site as an example of material that ...
