The Japanese version still exists, but it's true that they might have used the video from the English version and mixed in the Japanese audio into them for some if not most of the episodes. There are only a few that are completely lost or replaced by storyboards. Source? I have seen nothing of the ...

I had a friend who suffered the same fate a few days ago. He went to junior high with me and now I realize just how important it is to keep in contact with friends. Definitely feel for your lost, especially since I'm fixing to lose one of my great-grandmother.

Seriously? You know, considering that Astro Boy was a big acheivement as far as anime was concerned, you'd think Tezuka Productions would take better care of this...Or at the very least, NBC would have. Like many pre-1970s shows, it was the victim of having it's master destroyed, leaving us with th...

[QUOTE=astarisborn94;200773]It's too bad Astro Boy fans in America gets the shaft when it comes to TV shows. We are missing a big chunk of the 1963 Astro Boy series, the 1980s series has yet to get the first two episodes in English, and the 2003 dub was butchered and doesn't look to ever get a fix....

Well, we have to take into consideration that Astro Boy is nine and Uran is younger. I haven't kept up with children television, but if this was back in the late 1990s/early 2000s, I could imagine Astro Boy watching Toonami a lot since he is a superhero, particularly Gundam and Dragon Ball Z. He wou...

We'll be dead by then. No one here is going to be four billion years old, I guarantee it.

Also funny how we worry about this world dying out when it's pretty much inevitable. Given how far off that is, it's more interesting than scary.

Well it's not that i can watch it anyway but i think the 1980 series of course would have the best potential for a gerneral audiance with the darker moments in it and all. And i don't see the 1960's series on a saterday night block where they need views anyway it doesn't really fit in there but i d...
