Hmm... What a weird thought... as well as a uncanny coincidence! I actually drew a character that is pretty much a female parallel to Astro Boy. I don't have it scanned yet, though. I might not even bother. (It's on the same page as my cat-dragon, though- you should probably expect to see that on my...

Oog, I'd liket to watch them... the first one came up in Quicktime Player, but it was taking too long too load, so I just gave up. Hrm... If I ever get I chance, though, I am so watching these.

Earlier in the discussion, it was mentioned that that Astro was 58, according to the date first published.
But what? The date the very first Tetsuwan Atomu manga was first published, or the date that the issue of Ambassador Atom he debuted in was first published?

... Does anybody else find it creepy that there is a robotics firm called "Kokoro"? If anybody is familiar with the 2003 Astro Boy (which they should be), then you can probably see how that's kinda weird. Butyeah, I'd love to see a real Astro, if he was anything like the Astro we all know and love. ...

... Uh. I think it would've been wise to mention that I cannot watch videos on this computer- they haven't played right ever since we got DSL. (But with dial-up, it was usually at least an hour-long wait for it to load...)

Y'know, if you look at one of them, you can see a little Atom who looks sorta like a kitty in the face.

Anyway, who is that not-Astro in one of those pictures? The one with the red boots, pink cape-thing, and who's holding the blue thing? It has a star in its hair, too; the Not-Astro, I mean.

Hmm... I dunno. Grown-up Astro is just a little creepy to me. ... "Astro-Hunk" ? Now, that's a step too far. I remember reading somewhere on Tezuka In English (or rather, it was a link to some preview pages on Dark Horse's website) about the different ways Tezuka drew Astro. I can't say I really car...

I really like that face, too. But I may or may not have even seen that episode; the cartoon flip-flopped from Kid's WB (where I watched it) to Cartoon Network a lot, from my understanding, and I didn't have cable then. Heck, I still don't have it now... And even if it aired where I could see it, the...
