I recall an episode of THE JETSONS in which robots played football; many were destroyed in the process. I remember that one. The "Statue of Liberty Play" was done literally, with a robot holding a flaming torch. Here it is http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xs75jj_the-jetsons-jetson-s-nite-out-season...

Given a choice between Alabama and KSC, I think I'd like the latter better but it's still cool! Good Luck! BTW, Do you have any 'space' art that would make for good PC 'wallpapers'?

JThe mangas are read right to left, so they haven't been flipped. Kinda weird for me, but it is good to see nonetheless. Also should fix the issue with Astro Boy going from left to right like it did in the Dark Horse comics. After reading all of Blackjack and a few other Mangas from Vertical I'm us...

Yes, that's the one. Dr. O'Shay saw that while trying to think of a new name for Tobio. Of course, it ALSO spells ATOM vertically, so it works both ways. (I didn't see that watching the video, but still frame it and there it is!). Sony obviously had in mind more than the Japanese market for the seri...

In the 2003 series I think he is actually called 'Astro' even in the Japanese language. At least the frame where Dr. O'shay sees the word "Astro" on a piece of equipment was in English, which is something that the Japanese animators often did, use both English and Japanese lettered signs in the artw...

The same story was in a recently released 3 book manga series. I don't think Uran was in the recent Manga version.

I've slowly been exploring Tezuka's other works as they become available. I just finished Princess Knight and I've started Dororo. Both of these were just added to our libraries' shelves (the books look brand new). I'm hoping they will add more titles soon. I've already read all of the available Bla...
