Just thought I'd tell everyone that all of the Japanese and English episodes of the 2003 anime have been removed from Youtube, due to a copyright claim by Sony. So ends my first time watching through that series... :( EDIT: Actually, the last part of episode 14 is still up. A behind the scenes video...

I watched this episode yesterday, and for some reason it never clicked that Tobio was with someone else in that three-legged race.

Anyway, in the Japanese subbed version, the second line the guy says is "Sensei is tired too." So he was probably a teacher of some kind to Tobio.
