I recall an episode of THE JETSONS in which robots played football; many were destroyed in the process. I remember that one. In the 2003 series I think he is actually called 'Astro' even in the Japanese language. At least the frame where Dr. O'shay sees the word "Astro" on a piece of equipment was in English, which is something that the Japanese animators often did, use both English and Japanese lettered signs in the artw...
