In the meantime I've read book 1 and I'm halfway through book 2. The story is a masterpiece.

I've just finished the last of the sci-fi trilogy. Next I am going to begin my original Bilingual copy of Princess Knight. I shall post more regularly as I go through these books. They are my favourites.
