I might as well post them here:
Image

Those are 18 year old drawings made not by me but by my sister.
She knew of my passion for Astro, so she drew him after watching some Astroboy-episodes.
Eventually, those drawings were a christmas gift of her in '86.
I remember how thrilled I was B) , I immediately pasted them on the wall beside my bed. :D

Due to the drawings' age, there are a few fadings of color which I had to cover up using Windows Paint, but in all, what you see here is what the drawing still is coming over now.
It's a treasure I'm never going to give away.

That's supurb ... beautiful colouring and highlights. B) I'd put that on my wall too. (as his head was loading I thought from the highlights it might be a cel! ;)
18 years ago the best I could do was trace a poor image of a very curved TV screen.

I've done a couple more.

Image
Atlas looks complicated, but he's not too hard to draw. All those lines make good reference points.

Image
My attempt at an action pose, perspective, and background. He's smashing one of Atlas's neotechteron crystals, which I'm guessing he grows in a lab somehow.
As you can see, I totally messed up Astro's head. :(

But some seem to start off crappy more than others...
Why are you looking at me? Oh yes I know, I didn't even want to show my "abstract art"... <_<
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Alright, I just tried doing a 2nd attempt:
Image

I took a coloured sheet because I was sure the drawing will turn out crap anyway.
Meanwhile, my scanner doesn't talk with me anymore  .

edit: adding the 3rd attempt:
Image
For the hair I used a black pen, the rest was done with a kinda blunt pencil.

(BTW, my scanner just comitted suicide. R.I.P. ol' fellow! ;)

 My right hand's aching.

I just spent 1 1/2 hours on that one, it's very tricky:

I'm not quite satisfied with the right cheek and the lightning sabre which merely looks like a tuning fork :D , but in all I think it turned out not too bad.

edit: scanner resurrected!
