@Dr. Jerk - what I meant...
People who have a better chance at becoming successful as artists (be it music, art, literature, performance) usually have a "look" or "sound" to their work that is uniquely their own.
Although you come close (IMHO) to emulating Dr. Tezuka's style, you have a very distinctive and consistent style to your drawings (also in the choice of colors you tend to use -- a.k.a. "palette") that sets them apart. I could easily pick your work out of a group of illustrations.
As a person who has worked for over 30 years as an art director (and I'm married to a professional illustrator) I KNOW good solid talent when I see it -- and Dr. Jerk - you have it.
Sometimes people work half a lifetime to develop a signature style. Because you're young, it's obvious you've got significant natural abilities in this way, and -- if you enjoy drawing -- I think you could probably make a living in the field (and possibly do quite well for yourself, depending upon things like luck, effort and belief in your work as being as special as it is). Don't mean to sound overly flattering (at the risk of being considered insincere), but you have a clear talent, and hopefully others around you have also seen this.
- you go, girl!
