I could tell you how I feel about this, but... could I find words to express it? I can't go "IT's Super Awesome!" like I normally would.

I'm glad you liked it. As I had pointed out I was in a somber mood as it was the anniversary of my father's death at the time I wrote it. I recalled one of the stories in the anime/manga that dealt with the Japanese custom with the lanterns floating and imagined myself visiting the country during the holiday.
I'm slowly learning where writers get their inspiration from, though having a good imagination probably helps.
