Hey, guys. In case anyone pays really close attention to my art, I just want to let you know that (first of all, I'm flattered, and second of all) I won't be posting as regularly for at least a few weeks. The family is opening a new bakery, and we're realizing that our location was far better than anticipated. This means that until we hire some more people (we could probably use about six!) it's gonna be 14 hour days beginning at 4:30am for yours truly. We opened yesterday. I get home just in time to shower, eat, and go to bed. I'll have Sundays and Mondays off, though, so maybe I'll get some drawing done then. If my drawings start to heavily involve baked goods and extremely sleepy characters, you all know the reason.

I imagine Ochanomizu is no stranger to long hours and little sleep.

Hope you get the chance to post more often despite all the work you're going to have to take on. I'm kind of in the position now where I have to split art time between school work and other things. Good recent drawing too.

Maybe while I'm not sleeping, I'll do some drawing this weekend. I have a drawing in mind, but this will do for now.

This is not at all what I meant to draw. It was supposed to be something happy, and I swear I don't know what happened.



I wrote a little synopsis:

Uran watches a nest of baby birds for weeks. When she finds one dead after falling out of the nest one day, she becomes acutely aware of the fragility of the lives of the humans and animals she loves. She and her brother can be brought back after being severely damaged, but what if something was to happen to Dr. Ochanomizu?

Even if you like your job, that doesn't mean there aren't parts that you hate. Whether it's that one annoying coworker, filling out forms, or persistent fears of inadequacy, there's always something.

One of my sisters and I made a surprise visit home for Mother's Day. The five of us kids that were home picked bouquets of flowers for Mom. Basically, flowers everywhere.
