XD I KNOW RIGHT? I have no idea where the rest is and I'm dying to see it They SHOULD be renting it somewhere, at least.... I hope there's someone in this forum who can rent/purchase the video and tell the rest of us what happens.

Years in the future, the ruins of the Metro City Museum.
Standing in a glass chamber the, the attached plaque reads ....
"The Child is a small robot with a heart... He was a bridge between humans and robots.... He loved many people.... Having served his purpose here rests Astro Boy."
(as best as I can make it out.)

Those robots chasing the kid sorta remind me of a cross between "The Matrix" and "The Terminator"

Got to give these images some thought..... Might be a story here!

That manga story was really depressing, it was so much darker than I expected. I wonder if the short film is a direct adaptation of that chapter, or if it's a new story that just uses the "museum Astro" concept.

aww, what a great story. And the idea of Atom and Pinoko getting together? Never thought of that but it's cute.

Well I don't think it's a direct adaption, but looking at the short clips on Youtube the boy is being chased by robots and he cries out to Atom(Who was broken out of his case). This triggers him to wake up and rescue the boy. The clip Tezuka Productions uploaded ends there, but I've seen glimpses of what happens after that. Apparently Atom has this breakdown(As he clutches his head and just collapses)(I seriously want to know what happened there), and then he wakes up to see the boy and this old scientist looking down at him. And the robots are even more advanced than Atom, there's even this glittery robot who I think may the leader. They seem to be trying to extinguish any remaining humans..?
