I'm working on a xenobiology project regarding the alien species in Astro Boy, but I need a list of these alien races and their traits to do so. Some images of them would help as well. I've already done the Noricans (the bird aliens from "Attack from Space". Could someone please help me?

Sure! I'm going to re-watch some stuff, so I'll take notes whenever I see aliens. When's your deadline?

There's no deadline, actually. It's a project for fun. Thank you. :)

Which series?
In the 1963 series there was the episode where Astro goes to Mars and fights some Aliens.
Also another episode on the moon with moon monster aliens.
In the 2003 series, again on Mars, the encounter an alien life force buried underground, this time friendly.
1963 series again, the plant boy episode.

Thanks, but that's not enough detail. I might need screenshots and a list of abilities that each alien has. Any series will do.
But, yeah, I did see that episode from 2003. From what I recall, the alien was female, had no mouth, and resembled a generic grey alien.

It didn't look like a grey alien to me... I'd have to go back to get a screenshot to show you, but I don't really feel like it. :T

Anyways, as to the other aliens mentioned so far, there really isn't that much to a lot of them. The old Mars aliens look like four-armed starfish, kind of. They don't seem to be capable of much, except using a little arm-type thing on their underside to hold and fire laser guns, and building egg-like capsule ships... that also fire lasers, I believe.

The plant person was from a star or planet called Alsore, I think... there was also a number, but I can't remember what that was. They were effectively the last of their kind, as the fleet they came with was comprised of robots. There wasn't much in the way of abilities, so far as I know; you'd probably have to make that up.

In one episode of the 60's series, a birdman-alien hypnotizes the adults of Earth and has them board a spaceship. He also had collected a few other strange creatures; we only get to see two, I believe, but it's implied that there are probably more. In the English dub, the bird boy says something about a school project, once he gets caught out by Earth's robots...

There are some interesting aliens in Jetter Mars, too, but I don't really know much of anything about those.

Oh, there was the Moopi alien in the 2003 series... I can't remember what she called herself... but she was a shapeshifter that defaulted to the shape of a lovely young woman (though I am sure that that is not what she actually looked like, in her base form). She's kind of like the plant person from Alsore, though, in that they both have somewhat unhappy endings- hers much more so.

Interesting. Thank you for some info.
I also did one on the Nikolians (now called Noricans, because that name seems to be used more.)http://scp-811hatena.deviantart.com/art/Astro-Boy-Redesign-Red-Norican-v2-600119065
I know about the starfish aliens. Seen the 80s incarnations. I'm also doing the cat aliens as well.

I would, but Hulu costs money. I don't have much money at all.

You can watch half of them for free on Hulu, iirc. Some of the episodes are still free on Youtube (though not very many, and a seemingly eclectic set of choices). And then there's Manga's website, which last I looked, still seemed to have the lot of them. Kind of laggy, and not the best player, but it's there, at least. (And they might even have Kimba; I never looked...)

Oh, and as to those cat aliens: you're gonna have to do the dog aliens, too. God, I wish I could understand that episode, to know what was going on, exactly...
