I have been a member of other sites longer but I have not been anywhere close to as active there then I have been here.

I don't post most days but I float around every day that I am able to get at the forum.

Same here. My other forums are more or less dead (mostly because of poor moderation and flame battles, people confusing opinions for facts and generally not thinking properly). This is the only site where the moderators actually seem to care about their job and people in general think before hitting that 'reply' button. It's true I have some pretty hardcore knee-jerk reactions to some things said here but I just let it go and move on, there is a time and a place for discussions like that and here is not the place. I just wish all forums could be as level headed as this one. :D

737: When at your school the cosplay group in the anime club are just cosplay silly characters from violent or terrible creepy ***** mangas (the only person with a decent cosplay as far as I can see is the girl cosplaying Hatsune Miku, that one's cute) and you at your hair in the mirror and think, too bad Taiwanese cosplayers aren't into Tezuka (Or I could've been pretty good as Uran).
I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:

Well, I've had a few things I've found offensive and quite annoying here, but besides all that, I think this place is fun and is one of the best forum sites I have ever been to. And I have to say, I have never ever had this much fun on a forum site before. I hope this site will stay active when I reach college. Though, whenever something bothers me here I just brush it off and let it go. lol. Let it go, Disney's frozen song. (Great, now it's stuck in my head. )

Well last Halloween I gave some thought to seeing what I could do with a bottle of hair jell and came to the realization that my hair is too short and thin to effectively paste up to resemble Astro's cowlicks and that sort of cosplay is best suited for someone in their teens anyway.

Considering I wear glasses, maybe next year if I'm working at a place where my co-workers dress up for Halloween I'll just put on a beret hat and a sweater. (I wonder if anybody ever did a Tezuka Cosplay? He DID draw himself AS a manga character, especially in BlackJack.).

Haha, you know that's kinda funny, cause I've decided to cosplay as Black Jack last year for this year's Halloween. (I have been just myself on Halloween for quite a while now. I used to dress up as a princess or fairy when I was little, though felt a little akward wearing them. ) Though, cause I'm a female, and also dosen't have the exact material to cosplay, I would make quite an akward Black Jack. Also, people would think I'm dracula. (Those non Tezuka fans. )

Cross gender cosplay is quite common. I once googled Blackjack cosplay and most of the photos were of women doing it!

Well, yes that's true actually. Though to me, its quite hard to find a Black Jack fan who isn't female. I don't know why, but females are more into Black Jack than males are! (And Black Jack is Shounen.) Wonder why? Maybe cause of Pinoko's cuteness and Black Jack's sexiness? He attracts quite a lot of women in the series.
lol. I can't believe I just said that. *Hides in corner.*

Pinoko must have a lot to do with it. Tezuka actually added her later in the manga, but ALL of the Anime episodes have her in them, even the episodes based on manga stories where she wasn't (yet) present. For example in the story "Ant's legs" Pinoko didn't yet exist in the manga, but she was added to the episode in the Anime. Her birth was told in the present tense in the manga, in the Anime it was a flash back.

Oh, yes! I've noticed that too! (Now, I know why Pinoko wasn't in volume.1 much in the first couple of chapters. I never even noticed before.) Yeah so, she pretty much was in all of them. Actually, I can't even remember one episode where she wasn't in. In the OVAs, I think she was in all of them as well. (As far as I remember. Not too sure about episode three of the OVA series. though. My mind is quite faint from them.) I think the OVAs weren't based off of the manga though.

Also, take a look on google and type in Black Jack and Pinoko. Trust me, over a gazillion pictures of Just Pinoko and not Black Jack with her, will pop up. So I guess you can most likely tell that female fans are more into the series.

You should cosplay as Black Jack, I think it would be cool. I don't mind cute little boys dressing as girls <---- (I totally blame it on Atomu) or girls dressing as boys at all <----- (Techinally I am dressed like a boy all the time, even at school I never wear that ugly skirt.) ;)
