That was my fault. I killed it with my mediocre moderating skills and my hardened cupcakes... :whistling:

you don't have to use "photoshop" to play you just have to modify the picture somehow.

If you can't afford photoshop or can't get a free copy download the Gimp. That's an open source program that's just as good.

I do have gimp, I just didn't know you could do stuff like that. I haven't used it in a while.

In general Gimp can do everything photoshop can. The user interface is TOTALLY different and you might have to jump though some hoops to get the same effects sometimes. There are some good books on how to use it on line and from computer bookhouses like OReilly. I've barely scratched the surface with it myself, mostly I've only used it to crop photos and set color balance before printing.

To answer jeffbert's question, in my case the answer is simple: it can take more time to modify a picture than to play about 5 rounds of all the other games together, and I don't have as much free time as I had a few years ago. That said, I have to admit that the simplest ideas can also be the most funny ones, so it might not be a good excuse. :p

I could already use those softwares a little bit before, but playing in this thread made me learn a lot! I sometimes even looked up for some tutorials. You're a good artist, you'd probably have fun at this.

Strange Wings uses Microsoft Paint and he has done miracles in this thread, so it's not the software that matters most.

I was looking back through this thread, many of the people who were involved here have dropped out of sight, others just lost interest I suppose. Also it seems that more than half of the images that were posted here now have broken links, StrangeWings and Dragonrider seem to be the two with most of these.

Here is something simple I did (I've posted it before) just playing with the Gimp. My two or three last avatars were also done with the GIMP, making floating images ripped from other images.

Is anybody still interested in this game? I have about 75% of all the Futurama episodes that my daughter downloaded, I can think of lots of ideas combining Astro with Bender :w00t:
(I'm surprised I didn't see any contribution by AprilSeven, I know she is good at Photoshop.)
