Matsuo Ohno (1930-2022)

Matsuo Ohno, the sound designer for the 1960s Astro Boy anime and the 1964 Astro Boy movie, Hero of Space, passed away on December 19, 2022 at 7:28 AM at the age of 92. He was the man who gave Atom his squeaky boots and enriched the original Astro Boy anime with it's sound effects:

Sound designer Matsuo Ohno passed away at 7:28 am on December 19th at the age of 92.
With an insatiable curiosity for new things and an unwavering ability to take action, he lived an active life until the very end.
I would like to thank him for his kindness during his lifetime, and I hope that you will continue to love the works that Ohno left behind.
