I am currently working on translating the notice in the final volume (11-1966) of the sudden termination of the magazine. I think I read somewhere else that it was ending because the TV series was ending. Yet, there was still an entire month to go, as the final episode was aired 12/31/1966. Yet, here, it says that the new magazine will contain Tezuka's longer manga. Still have a few paragraphs to go.

Anyone good with Japanese, please help! I cannot identify the far left character in the highlighted portion:

This is the 1st floor's floor plan from March 1965 pg 29.

Pretty sure it says, ''electronic''. Something related to electricity.

 電子レンゾ
ELECTRONIC LENS? No, that would end with ス

Thanks, Bluebell1995! I have difficulty with some fonts. Typewritten, are usually ok, though.

電子レンジ = Microwave. Looks like you mistyped ジ as ゾ.

Apparently they were being sold as early as 1946.

According to Wikipedia "Amana's Radarange, introduced in 1967, was the first compact microwave oven made for home use." So units made for industrial or restaurant use might have been made earlier. I'm not sure about 1946, though the magnetron tube was invented a few years before that.

I am just now giving a 2nd pass on my collection, & realized I had not gotten around to translating the dialog for pt 2 of broadcasts from outer space, or any of face in the rock. I will be working on these for a few days.
