Well, I'll just have to hope it isn't like 2009 Atom.

No offence but I believe that post would work better in the "Oh no!" thread then this one.

I'ts Astroboy! The message is the thing! The enemies that hate Astro will be livid. But it HAS to be made! And only a fool would make such a film and not shoot it in 3D!
Those waiting and hoping for the extinction of astroboy will have a long wait!   :tenma: :whistling:

You know, I kinda wish that Illumination was the one to make the PREVIOUS Astro Boy movie. Feels like that one would have been better in their hands, and it might have actually been excellent.

But it's too late now, and they're in charge of the mature adaptation... I feel like the producer didn't even read the thing when he bought the rights, and probably thought "Oh what I have done?! ...Well at least there's some action and the story has heart" afterward. To put it in his words:

Chris Meledandri wrote:With Pluto, Naoki Urasawa has defined an imaginative world full of inventive action and adventure but it was his characters and heartfelt story that compelled me towards acquiring these rights.

I hope he was true behind those words.

I don't want another film where a spray bottle remarks about a kid's hair gel.
