That object in his right hand, is a remote control that arms the timer on the bomb belt. Similar remote controls are scattered throughout this series. I think Tenma used one in episode #2.

Skunk is so callous of robots, that he even tells Denko that the belt is a bomb. He uses then discards robots throughout the Mighty Atom corpus.

After seeing these posts, I have just realized that the clock in this picture does seem to have the same Roman numeral of 7 and 8.

Also, in this thread the episode is titled "Denko", but in the Indonesian sub it's "Denkou". Which one is true?

I generally tend to see "Denkou" online. I believe the "ou" part of Denkou's name is a long o sound in Japanese.

The Romaji (English writing of the word '電光', not the' translation, but the pronunciation, 'Denkou' is sometimes, but also 'Denkō' is used. In Japanese, err, Romaji, the long 'o' is not written 'oo' but 'ou' if not 'ō'. Clearly, if you are making a file named 'Denkou.doc' is much preferred over 'Denkō.doc' because the Windows will not find 'ō' (the diacritic character) in a search, at least not in an American Version.

But, anyhow, 'Denkou' should be written (in English, anyway) 'Denkoo', as it is most easily understood.
