Atom's micro version looks a bit like Chi-Tan.
So let me get this straight, the 'Fantastic Voyage' story was based on one of Tezuka's early Mangas? Was Asimov a Tezuka fan?

Re: 14, Micro Adventure
As far as I know, he was not. But I think the studio hired him to write a novel based upon the film's plot. Schodt wrote that Tezuka was considering a law suit.
Tezuka drew 2 shrinking manga prior to the 1963 series Tuberculosis & Monster On The 38 Parallel. The basic story was that Higeoyaji & Kenichi were shrunken and entered the patient's body & etc. BTW, their clothes did not shrink. More than a few of Tezuka's boy-hero manga were adapted to the 1963 series. I have about a dozen of them.
I guess its the same thing as with Jungle Emperor & The Lion King. Somebody saw the program, likely forgot about it, & thought he came up with the idea on his own. It is called Implicit memory; you were influenced by something, but cannot recall the fact.
There was a case of somebody using somebody else's tune in a song. Was sure he made it up, himself. But was sued anyway.

Re: 14, Micro Adventure
A high school teacher I had for a music class wrote a song called "pretty little Jonie" that some band got to the mid top 100 on the radio. Peter paul and mary stole that tune to create puff the magic dragon. My teacher never tried to sue.

I just cannot help but weep when Puff sadly slips into his cave.
