The German video is of really low quality. I thought the song seemeed rather dumb. Too many occurences of the word 'Astroboy'. Almost reminded me of the Batman theme from the 60s show: :P :Batman, Batman, Batman,...

After watching so many WWII movies, and WWII stuff on the History Channel, it almost chills me to hear the song of innocence in that language, although when kids (Joeys) sing it, it is not so chilling.

Thanks for posting the Japanese, Cobalt. To un-garble it in IE, click on View - Encoding - Japanese (Auto-Select). Of course, you need the Japanese character set installed. You can get it by visiting any Japanese site and selecting to install it when IE asks if you want it.

Here's how to encode the SWF music to MP3 in Windows 98/2000.

Double-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select options - properties. Select Recording and make sure "What U Hear" is ticked. Click OK then make sure your recording source is set to "What U Hear", and not Microphone or Line In or anything else.

Run your favourite sound recorder and start recording (I use Cool Edit). Play the SWF file and everything you hear will be recorded to a file. The quality is great because it's an internal digital recording. Crop/Normalise the sound recording and save it as MP3. Or save it as WAV then convert it.

Aw just my luck. My POS sound card doesn't have that "What you hear" option. This song has definitely grabbed me. I've been listening to it almost all day. >_< @ my nostalgic hangovers.

The German version sounds sooooo familiar, but I know I have never watched a German episode of Astroboy before!
Anyhow, it's very Euro
