Well it's obvious that the colors are muted compared with other programs. And it's obvious the signal strength was reduced also, reducing the eye candy " wow factor".... Why? The promo spots are kicked way up but the program itself is tuned down. Is this the "conspiracy" aluded to
in Anime city?

If it were not for the Fan/subs, we would have no idea how great the Astro eps really were as far as color and depth were concerned. Because the way it's being broadcast is like looking through a stocking compared with the other anime on CN. This is electronic sabotage. To sell DVD's? Or maybe to reduce the impact of Astro's superior animation. Or maybe it really is the anti-robotics fanatics.
