Why can't Uran fly?

So, I'm pretty reassured to read your cogitation about Zoran, because I was not sure to be comfortable with the 2003's character. From far, I prefer Uran from the 80's. But I have a real problem when I see her flying... It simply does'nt macht to me anyway... whatever the reason she can fly like we see on this gif lol

I got some problems with the link of Tezuka's site.. I can't go anywhere in the site : I was looking for a way to register as a member, and didn't found... what's the problem, according to you ?

If you have the URLs (web addresses), you can enter them in the Wayback machine, & view its archived pages. However, many of the images were missed in the archiving process.

The images Jeffbert posted earlier in this thread seem to have evaporated.
This isn't the only episode showing "Uran" flying, although the other one was really Astro dressed as Uran.

Also Uran once flew with the aid of strap on jets (as did Cobalt / Jetto)

Basically, the evil worshipper of Kali decides to have the best robot in the world (sound familiar?). He creates a robot bird that eventually attacks Uranium:
