I was wondering if I could make a gif request? I'm pathetically awful at making anything digitally so I'm clueless here. I would love to have an avatar of Bem from ELV #66 Attack from Space (Earth's Last Day). The scene I have in mind is towards the end of the episode where the camera is close up on him and he has sparkles around his face. I'd love to capture the scene of just him and the twinkling of his sparkles. I also know that half of his face is highlighted in pink.

Is this possible? Do I need to add more information or images?

BTW that was ELV #62. I grabbed this frame off of the video from the player, If this is what you want I'll have to go back and use the video editor to single step and catch the required frames for the twinkle. Problem is, I haven't ever gotten the file size down small enough for a 100x100 icon to fit here in an animated GIF.

I don't know what all the technicalities are, but even a gif of the scene itself would make me very happy. Getting it small enough to be an avatar would be just gravy.

shrinking it to an avatar size 100x100 pixes is EASY.

Yeah I can do that, just making gifs is the part where I'm really clueless.

The trick is stacking several layers to make an animated GIF. Those single frames are about 12K, and the limit for an avatar is 50k total. BUT there were a total of 8 frames in the sequence, though you could make a rough animation with just 4 of them.

Actually the 8 frame gif BARELY made it under 50K

The sparkles get a little washed out when you scale the image down to fit as an avatar. Also it looks like one of the frames is a bit out of line and the image bounces. That may have happened when I cropped them to fit, but I was careful to try and crop each image at the same place. Of course the original video frames might have shifted which would have screwed up my effort!
