I used to, but when I started making my web site I tried to categorise the characters. Good, evil, robot, human, etc. Now I think of them as quite distinct because one is human and the other is robot.

I wonder what they would have thought of each other if they could have met.

I consider them distinct. However, I would say that the 2003 series tended to make one the extension of the other, at least through Tenma's way of thinking.

I'm sure Tobio would have been thrilled with Astro, and Astro, being the good little kid he is, would have enjoyed Tobio's friendship.
