So it's been a while since anyone's posted here, but I felt this was relevant enough to bump the thread. I've got some screenshots from the short films:

This short film is "The Glorious Earth" or "Earth - You are Blue, Beautiful...", and I think it was made in 2004.
(Japanese title: 鉄腕アトム 特別編：地球 ～あなたは青く、美しい...)



And I just had to GIF this part, so here's that:

This short film is "Doomsday" or "Earth's Last Day", made in 1999.
(Japanese title: 鉄腕アトム ～地球最後の日～
Tezuka Productions actually uploaded 3-minute clips of these short films to YouTube, so if anyone's interested, search the Japanese titles on YouTube.
I had more screenshots that I wanted to post, but Photobucket wasn't cooperating so this is all I'm posting for now. I'll probably edit this post if Photobucket decides to let me upload any more pictures and link them here before my edit time runs out.

I have seen the full version of the first one, it reminds me of "The Matrix" films.
I wish I could find the full version of the second one as well.

Really? It seems the reverse is true for me. Oddly enough, I've seen the full version of the second one ("Doomsday"/"Earth's Last Day", just to make sure we're referring to them in the same order), but only the 3-minute clip of the first one on here. Both of those screenshots, in fact, were from a different video that used a few clips from that short film, because the version I saw of the actual short film cut off before it got to that point. It drives me crazy that I haven't found any way to see the full version.
"Earth's Last Day" was actually posted on YouTube (although split into 2 parts). I obviously can't post a link to it, but I'm pretty sure that mentioning that fact doesn't violate forum rules.
It'd just be nice if these short films were easier to access legally (or even just to access at all). I'm not even sure if a legal way currently exists to obtain a full version of any of these, which is very sad.

BTW, the other character is named 'Bem', I wonder if he is supposed to be the same robot from the original 'last day on earth' episode from the '63 series (the one done in a semi colored backdrop).
