They keep them because after all we all buy those things for the disc :p
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

That is so....so BRILLENT! I'm gonna take off the cover from my Astro dvd and do the same! Along with smelly single sock, some used gum and a candy wrapper. I'll be rich!

But for real, what are these people thinking?

If people buy that for real cash, why should they do otherwise? :p

I don't get the hate for people selling game boxes. I think it's actually a really cool thing to do. I sure would be happy to have a seller doing this if one of my boxes got smeared in coffee, or I could only get the disc when buying the game. The same goes for manuals.

And plushietoon: that's a great find. BTW, I sent you a message on Youtube a while ago because I had no account here at the time (but please ignore the part about sending me files).

@F-Man Yikes, I nearly forgot about that! D: But I think you could download the game directly off of Deviantart. (I think I was also going to add some more stuff too).

This.

Coming from an avid video gamer, I can say that boxes and manuals alone can be very collectible. Heck, I still have all of my old console and handheld boxes lying around, and manuals... somewhere...

So I'm not the only one who kept boxes from old NES games? :D
