Yes! It was an adult woman, and her name was Patricia White. There was a picture of Patty and Jay in this thread somewhere...

Astro was Patty Whitely, yes. And we did tape Uran's song, but not the version above. We had to rewrite it,with approval from Nippon TV -- remember that Tezuka was still alive at the time, and that we didn't do anything that wasn't approved. I still remember when the Japanese executives came over to tour our facility and meet all of us. We had a big sign pinned up of Astro that read "ASTROBOY STUDIO." I have it in photos somewhere.
Anyway, it became the "My Name is Uran" song, which still find I find charming. I'm not sure if it was used in this episode, though.

My God, Jay! How do you remember all of this? I remember that I was Daddy Walrus but not a single other character I played. I can recognize some of our fellow cast members' voices, but wow! You are the MAN! I need to watch the series again. I really only watched a few when I got the entire series, so I think I'll add that to my summer projects in order to try to add some of my memories to yours, Jay. Jay, even though the Japanese producers never asked for a making-of documentary, maybe we can put one together, based on your copious notes and some added memories from willing cast members. What do you think?
