Just one of the reasons why like futuristic science fiction...its great how you see what people ago predicted what the Earth would be like now. The original 1960 series was set in 2000, but we obviously haven't reached there yet. The 1980 series is set in 2030, but I seriously doubt if we can invent Astro then...

And the 2003 version happens in an alternate reality of the present, where technological advancements came a lot quicker, kind of like the way the original manga predicted it. I thought that was a nice touch.

I love that page with the snail, just staring, everybody staring, Atom, Elefun, even the Snail. Thank god they didn't put speech bubbles with lots of dot dot dot's or it would've been insanely funny XD

I wonder if they'll put that scene in the Pluto film o.o it would interesting to see. And Atom falling in wuv with a snail, they'd make a great couple!
