Let's be serious. If any of us had a living weapon which could bring any of our whims and passions to reality, would you really tell him who he really is. Assuming we are talking about the real world with no Elefun and etc. and more of a dimensional hop like Terminator.
I'd burn my manga or hide it, create internet filters ingrained into the very browsers and I'd make sure to when he sleeps overwrite his latent memories with ones as a little brother of mine ,assuming Astro isn't a singularity poster child. Not because of malice, but out of the fact that well, there's no point for him to long for a world he might never get to see again in his lifetime.
Well I don't have a knowledge of computers, but if I told him, would he believe it at all?
The biggest issue with me keeping the knowledge away would either be he uses his powers unintentionally and draws military action , someone him from the cartoon or if he finds out, well he's a killing machine and may not know his own strength.
If I were to tell him, I'd make him my little brother, get parents to adopt him and familiarize him with his powers out of the eye of the public, which would hate and most likely fear him given the chance. There'd be no possible way I'd allow him to use his powers, but I'd analyze him for research , see if I could build a suit of armor based off of his design if he allowed it. To keep a lower profile, he'd lose the boots , got to school, the works .
If it was in his world, well, it'd be extremely hard to just call Dr. Elefun and fly to Japan for a week, but seeing as his MIA would be all over the news, it might be easier if slight. However, a lower profile would be preferential to escorting him out of the country to Japan so no other hostiles try to take advantage of his mind wipe.
Needless to say ,either way, it would end with an epic fight.
Looks like I'm not the only guy who would help the situation rather than freak-out and worsen it.
