By the way, there are references to "True Blue" and "Now Or Never" in the Dark Horse mangá, probably a idea of the translators.
Also, that character "Taba Koh", what a bad pun...
He reminds of the junk food owner from the 2003 series and a bit of Kin Sankaku.
Difference between the Japanese the Dark Horse Comic version of Astro Boy?
I've read the last chapter of Astro Boy mangá and was horrible.
The robots bethroned humanity and started to raise children as pets who keept fighting each other to death.
One of the few humans rebeled and fleed in order to revive Atom so they could stand a chance, but that man discovered that his lover Julie was a robot and destroyed her while Atom fought the enemy robots.
The story ended with that rebel being killed in action.
Quite a negative future for the series, at least it's not canon.
I wonder why Tezuka wrote a story like that.
