Little Astro Boy (2014 Animated Series)

Hey, the original anime was a low-budget, fairly poorly animated venture with silly shenanigans, too, wasn't it? At least, at first? And it made a very big splash the world over; so, while Little Astro Boy isn't nearly as good (the voice acting in this is worse than the original sometimes, not to mention that the voices are annoying in general- plus Astro is just a hyper child with no sense of direction in life who's going to end up killing his friends- I only saw one episode, but that's the impression I am left with), you probably shouldn't be knocking it. At least, not yet.

I'm actually liking Little Astro Boy a lot so far, despite my age. I know it's a show for little kids, but it's really cute, and a little cathartic to watch a short colourful story that always turns out all right. I'm really hoping that more Tezuka characters come into the show...if LAB can make a gross dude like Hamegg be as cute and funny as he is in the show, I'd love to see how they'd portray Tenma!

The only voice I don't reeeaally like is that of Shunsaku Ban? Like, his actor is too young; he sounds like some regular guy I'd meet in the supermarket in Nigeria. He does give it his all, though, so I can't dislike him.
