It's a bit cringe-worthy when the new robot characters introduce themselves, otherwise the song and dance at the start is awesome and I will fight anyone who talks badly of it. (Anyone notice that they replaced the yo's some were so worried about with heys?)
I really wouldn't judge the show just based on that moment. It's gold. I wish small children's cartoons over here were half as good.

what does cringe mean? (Sorry, I'm not too familiar with English.) Is it like a smirk or something?
I like this new series, even though it doesn't really catch my interest. Robot Atom sounds like a more suitable title for it though, but what eve.

To cringe is to feel great embarrassment or disgust at something and to recoil/shy away from it physically.
"I cringe at the thought of Atom and Uran being paired together."
It could also just be used to describe something that's just bad or in poor taste so thus; cringe-worthy.

I worked out all of the important characters!
- Atom/Astro Boy
- Pikko: hot-headed flying ball robot
- Reggie: the smart engineer robot
- Tac: hungry robot car transformer
- Dr. Ochanomizu/O'Shay
- Ken: now adds blue hair and headband to his many, many different anime looks.
- Mitchy: pink haired girl with a very familiar name
- Tamao/Paul
- Kinako: girl who seems to be around Tamao usually
- Hamegg
- Kim Sankaku/Dr. Flau
- Gora: robot henchman for the bad guys
- Pato: robot police car, Tac's brother
- Astro's Mom and Dad (nameless), who are still his parents according to the credits

Oh he has parents??? Oh jeez; I really wish someone had recorded the whole thing... Can someone at least get a shot of them? Just as a point of curiosity?
