I'm not a fan of the new Kenichi. He just doesn't look like Kenichi from any of the Astroboy series'. I thought he was a completely new character at first.
I also thought he was a brand new character when Crazy Red first posted a picture with him in it. But I instantly loved whatever character it was! I can definitely get used to this cool and hip Kenichi.
If you want a boring bland Kenichi, I give you

He really does but he is still cute. I just wish that he would get a redesign, I mean how many times has Atom's mother been redesigned? His father has more or less remained EXACTLY the same no matter what. If they just got rid of that moustache or gave him a different moustach it would be a little better.
Sad thing that Hitler ruined that style of facial hair, especially if you're a brunette.
Everyone is adorable in this animation style, even Ham Egg!
I didn't even recognize Kenichi, though the cheer leading bit with him was cute.

I know! I personally like the mustache, but no one can wear it anymore because of Hitler :/
I don't hate Kenichi's design by itself, I just don't like that it's supposed to be Kenichi. I think it would've been better if it was a totally new character.

It doesn't even look like Kenichi, tbh. His hair is all wrong. And I'm not talking about it being blue, either; he's supposed to have that curly-wavy look. In the original concept, he even had the cute little curly-dealie in it! :<
