I'd noticed the thing with Skunk's eyes, too, but I wasn't too sure if it was bc of the poster being too small and low-res. I guess this (possibly) confirms it being a thing? Does it have any particular meaning, or is it just a mundane thing that he has, I wonder? Usually significance is placed on heterochromia, for some reason; at least as far as I've seen. I dunno why; other than being sort of cool, it doesn't really do anything...

The other possibility I considered was that he had a robot eye implanted. Given all the blue on the poster around the robots and technical elements, I assume it's his blue eye.

Ah, that's actually not entirely improbable! A little grim for a kid's show, depending; but then we have Tawashi(?) over there being a borderline cyborg, so perhaps not so much.

What if the box lady is Hoshie?? She has a similar hair color to the kid in the corner who may or may not be Tobio. It's kind of a stretch, but whatever.

Yeah, that would make sense if the boy is Tobio- his hair colour had to come from somewhere, and it's definitely not from his dad's side(Unless he dyed his hair or something, but eh). I don't know much about Hoshie, but when I googled her up I have to say that lady DOES have a similar hairstyle with her! Especially so in that Jetter Mars cameo. Isn't that interesting...

After looking at the poster some more, I noticed what they did to Astro's appearance. Always drawn as a bare chested boy in black briefs and a green belt, the briefs have become slacks and the belt a shirt, both of the same color. I'm not sure why the change in the eye color, but the green eyes do become him!

I noticed the same thing. It's like his outfit got stretched out! I liked Astro's brown eyes but the outfit kind of looked weird to me. The green of the belt and the red boots clashed and even though the brown of the eyes is a middle ground, it didn't do much to pull up some of the color. (Plus, you know, underpants.) The design was much more effective in black and white, in my opinion. In this case I think I prefer the new color scheme since it takes the green color and continues it up into the face, which helps it to be more of a focal point. Plus with all the glowy blue stuff going on, brown probably would have been one color too many. Because have you ever seen glowy brown laser beams?

Astro's eyes were originally brown, since that is the dominant eye color for Asians. The 1980 version had such beautiful eyes!

Agreed! If I were in charge, I would have changed the outfit to match the eyes, not the other way around. But hey, whatever works.
