Like Fauna, my interest has dropped a good bit since there is nothing out there to show us what to expect, the delaying of the trailer doesn't help. For all we know they could throw in another rain check for sometime in November 2015. I'm going to take a guess here and say it may be going through a bad case of "development hell", a-la The Thief and the Cobbler. There might be disputing opinions going on behind closed doors about what the series should even be about.
I recall also reading in this thread that there is no director for the project, I'm not going to sugar coat things and say "Huston, we have a problem".

You all have big imaginations. These things take time. Instead of lamenting the delays, you should appreciate how insanely soon the original "September" was. It seemed almost too good to be true to me, and now look what happened.
Also consider that September was revealed by Variety, not Shibuya. Even then it was probably meant to be to business people only, and Variety just didn't bother spelling out this detail. There isn't even much of a delay to speak of and is merely fabricated at this point.
Kind of like saying they don't have a director just because it hasn't been announced yet, or that them possibly not having a director is somehow bad at this stage, despite there not even being a release year announced yet.

I'm on Twitter.
I don't think the project's gone to development hell, I just think I'm exhausted from chasing the hype train. I'm dropping my interest until we get some substantial updates. I hope something at least comes about before I enter my fourth university year.
Dr. Tenma lover and aficionado since 2006!
Now featuring the Sad Old Dad Squad (The S.O.D.S.)
Like I always say, people should be more interested in crap that's happening right now, that'd help make this particular wait less long.

The entire case is strongly debatable. So little is known about this reboot that it may as well be completely fabricated. I think it's safe to say that none of us really want an actual crisis to happen during production, but by this point anything goes.
@F-Man - I can guess from your assumption that you are more optimistic about the production. And hey, more power to you.
The big imagination thing is pretty much true. We only have one page worth of details, so the rest of it is just a guessing game. One could get as much of a true assumption as mine by pulling a piece of paper from a hat.
Mine may have a bit more of a bias linked to my knowledge of film and animation productions that suffered through development hell (Atuk, The Day the Clown Cried, Thief and the Cobbler, A.I. etc).
@Fauna - I didn't intend to say that you believe the development hell thing, I just shared the loss of interest. If it came across as that, my bad.

I just stumbled across this on the MAGIC Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/magic.monaco/posts/786185271449135
Funnily enough, Google Translate gives a better translation of this then Facebook does. Here's what GT translates the third bullet point to:
However, the last part says that registration is only open to the press.
I don't know if this means that one of the press organizations will publicly report on something about Astro Boy Reboot come December 11, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Strangely enough, Shibuya Productions didn't report on this on any of their social media sites. They only reported that another one of their series, Windwalkers, would be getting news and a teaser on December 11. Only MAGIC reported that there will news regarding ABR on that date.
I'll go ahead and link the sites for MAGIC in the first post and in this post.

So it turns out they did show the first visual of Astro Boy Reboot at that press conference today (the one I mentioned in my previous post). Just found an image of it from one of the attendee's Twitter accounts:
(Again, this was only shown to the press. None of the public were there to see it.)

If you'll notice on the pink bar at the top, it says "ASTROBOY THE REBOOT". Below the visual, you can also see the Shibuya Productions logo and a blue silhouette of Atom's head.
Even if we don't see or hear anything else from today's conference, this is at least confirmation that ABR is not dead yet. I'll keep on eye on the social media accounts of these companies today to see if they say anything else about this.

We've got an official website, everyone! There's also a new promotional image on the site! It looks like the one that was shown at that conference a couple days ago.
I'm really liking the look of the animation from this image. I've also gotten the vectored logo off of the site as well.
