That link doesn't really show anything recent, or relevant to this year, or the next two, though. I think it's too soon to find out what the case may be here. It hasn't even been picked up by anyone yet, as far as we know. Unless that information is somewhere out there in French, too; in which case, a fat lot of good it does me.

I feel like during the long wait my expectations will get higher, and then I'll be disappointed with the actual show. If it happens. By the way, what do you guys think about the floating tree bowls in the teaser? (Fairy reservations.) And how everything is coated in hexagons? After discussing it with my brother, I came to the conclusion that in the future, people are bees.

I asked Shibuya about it via Twitter; apparently, the next step is to announce their network television partners, or something to that effect. And we're likely not gonna hear anything more until February, according to what they said. :T

One week from today is the Monaco Anime Game International Conferences! The program for the convention was released yesterday, and although Astro Boy Reboot is not explicitly stated to be shown at the event, we did see Astro on the top-right part of the poster back in September:

I was also retweeted by the MAGIC Twitter account when I told them that I was eager to see more news about Astro Boy Reboot at the event:

In the program, there is one event in particular where ABR could be shown off:

The "Crazy time" listed at 4:45 PM (Monaco time) is probably the best bet. Shenmue III, which Shibuya Productions has been pushing heavily over the last few months, will have its own event at 9:25 AM, so it'll most likely not be part of the "Crazy time".

Otherwise, something could be shown off during the opening ceremony or global endings. You also have the possibility of something being leaked online during the event or in the days prior to the event.

In any case, we'll be learning something new about Astro Boy Reboot next Saturday! I've made an event reminder for Astro Boy Reboot being shown off at MAGIC 2016 on the forum if you are interested:

Just click on "Request Reminder for this Event" and you'll be good to go!

I'm totally unconvinced we'll get anything about the reboot, but we'll see. I'm curious about what their next big secret announcement will be though, since I can't deny that both Astro Boy and Shenmue were orbiting around my interests.

I couldn't care less about Shenmue if I tried. But they've been teasing ABR for this event for a while now, so there had better be something. It was even mentioned in the promotional video for this year's MAGIC on Youtube... although I'm not sure under what category it was listed, as I'm pants at French, in general. :T

Nah, it'll come along sooner than that, I think. They've been working towards this for a while, now. Anyways, the thing that they've been saying repeatedly is they've got to announce their distributors/partners/whatever they heck they call'em, first. Which, given the phrasing they last used when I asked, suggests that they have found some, at least iirc. If they have channels that have picked up the show, then that means that they can start working on it in earnest, yeah? They're still promoting the crap out of Shenmue right now, but I don't reckon that has anything to do with the development of an animated series. Plus, we likely won't hear much on that front until there's anything to actually show for it- which, I'm hoping that they'll give us at least something new on that front; trying to find new icons and banners from the same small sample of footage from nearly a year ago begins to wear on a person after a while. :T

i think the reason of the delay is because of the Horrible terrorist attacks on Paris back in Friday the 13th of last year, a day after the overrated AB v. MM death battle video, sorry if you didn't agree with me, it just didn't like that video, period

That may be, but I think one big problem (that I may have mentioned on here before) is that Shibuya Productions announced Astro Boy Reboot WAY too early. While I don't mind having learned about ABR when we did, I think it would've been better to announce the series to the public 6 months to a year before its release, so that they could've had more to show for it and keep the hype going for it into its release.

The fact that it took 9 months for a single 1 minute and 22 second trailer to be released (after a delay, might I add) and only show a teaser poster before that was a bad tactic on Shibuya's part in my opinion. I'm sure those that were on this forum back in mid-2014 to early 2015 will agree with me on that statement.

If the series does come out in September 2017 as is currently planned, then I would've rather first heard about the series in Spring 2017. They'll most likely have a lot more to show for ABR at that point to generate more hype.

This all isn't to say that I dislike Astro Boy Reboot because of how early it was announced, as I am still looking forward to whatever Shibuya produces for us, but I do think that, up to this point, they should've marketed the series a little better overall. To me, if you're going to announce a series, then start with a teaser trailer, then slowly reveal information over a period of a few months before the final public release. Otherwise, I say keep the series behind closed doors until you have something truly significant to show for it.

With that said, I'm cautiously optimistic that this Saturday will reveal something significant about Astro Boy Reboot.
