I was talking about story content, not how big the pages are... although it would have been nice to have slightly larger pages to work from; I used to use the one I have as an artistic reference, when I still did a lot of traditional. Considering I'm horrible at working from reference, I don't think it went terribly well; but still.

I actually don't like the "Greatest Robot in the World" arc very much; I never have, tbh, no matter the version.

Just checked; Volume 3 is 208 pages. That's including the Greatest Robot in the World arc and Mad Machine.

I suppose we'll see what those extra pages are when it gets released.

Volume 3 also has an extra chapter ("Mad Machine") after the Greatest Robot in the World. This one might have 2 or 3 extra chapters after that.

However, other sites still have a future release date including Dark Horse themselves, who list the release date "September 23, 2015":

Not quite sure what's going on here, but at least a month from now, it should for sure be available.

That's Wednesday next week, right? That's also when the fall equinox is supposed to begin, I think. Hm.

Doesn't help me very much at all (even though I had hoped to be sorted before this thing dropped, so as to not have it pass by me for good), but mm.

Wow, the release date seems to be all over the place. I pre-ordered mine on Amazon and they have the release date as October 13! That's probably just Amazon though; it would be nice if I could get it earlier.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep a watch for it in my local bookstores and if I don't find it there I'll see about ordering it online.

I bought omnibus #1 on Wednesday! It's a thick brick about the same length and width of the original volumes, and contains the first nine chapters Dark Horse published. If you're hoping to pick up the series in a new edition, I really recommend it.

I suspect that omnibus #2 is going to collect at least all three volumes of the timeskip AU chapters (where Astro meets Scara and travels back in time) into one tidy place. It's not my particular favourite arc, but it'll be great to have it all together and not confusingly mixed-in with the rest of the manga.

Hm, I suspect that it must be thicker than what I have. I want it. :o Unfortunately, I am still not sorted in that department.

I'm keen to start buying this reissue, I have a bunch of the old ones, but still haven't completed it. So might be best just to go with these.

Can anyone post some photos so I can see the size? Is the print quality better than last time?

Thanks.
