I don't own any of the manga, I've been getting it through my library... but as soon as I have some money, I'm buying both editions. :w00t:

I've been hearing reviews complaining that the print is small and hard to read. What does everyone here think? Does anyone have both versions to compare?

By "both versions", I assume you mean the original Dark Horse releases and the Omnibus volumes? If so, they're both the same size.

I own the first volume of the Omnibus, and I'll say that the size of the text doesn't bother me. However, I have really good vision.

I do wish Dark Horse would've released a larger version of the manga though.

I have the first volume of the Omnibus. As far as I can tell it is identical to the first 3 volumes of the DH Manga editions that were published earlier. The pages are whiter (probably because the earlier volumes I own have yellowed over the years), hopefully the paper quality is as good or better than what they used before so it will hold up.

The Omnibus editions are just reprints of what already existed, in the same format. I bought the first one because I was missing volumes 2&3 (which are out of print and a bit rare on ebay). I don't think I'll buy any of the Omnibus editions that cover the volumes I already own, but I am missing #14, and #17 and up. When they get around to reprinting those in Omnibus editions (except maybe I'll find a good used #14 on ebay), I will probably buy those.

Yes I do and if they are the same size then it should work with me. I have had no problem with the text on the originals so the Omnibus shouldn't be an issue.
Thank you =D

The second volume of the Omnibus has been out for a while, and the third is due shortly. Has anybody bought the second? Which stories did it contain?

I do wonder why we haven't had a release of the manga that has the chapters in chronological order and is read right to left (unless we do and I don't know about it).

It's looking like the Astro Boy Omnibus volumes will end at Volume 7, which is due out on April 11.

Despite several searches, I haven't been able to find Astro Boy Omnibus Volume 8 anywhere. The latter Omnibus volumes were posted on Amazon and a few other sites several months in advance, but Volume 8 is nowhere to be found.

So, if you'd like to get the Omnibus manga volumes of Astro Boy, you should be able to pick up every volume by the middle of next month.

If OB 7 will be the last, then it will contain the last story from DH # 20 and all of 21,22, and 23. Quite fat.

To complete my collection I'll need to get 5, 6, and 7, which will duplicate my volumes 15 and 16, but I'm missing 14 and 17 to the end.

The seventh volume is the final Omnibus volume, and it comes out today.

So as of today, you can now purchase the entire Astro Boy Omnibus manga collection. Here are links to buy all seven volumes from Amazon:
