EDIT: This show was originally named "Little Astro Boy", the same name as the Astro Boy series from 2014, before being renamed to "Go Astro Boy Go!" in early 2018. Discussion about Little Astro Boy from 2014 can be found in the link below:

The eco-systems of planet Earth are endangered. Lucky for us, a super-powered robot boy is flying to rescue! astro in on a mission to help anyone anywhere in the world
with a problem involving natural phenomena. Go little Astro Boy ! GO !

Based on Astro Boy, the iconic character created by Osamu Tezuka

Well, folks, we have our third, count it, THIRD new Astro Boy series within the last 5 years. This seems to be based on, but not directly related to, the 2014 Nigerian series. French animation company, Planet Nemo, is animating this series. According to Nikkei, it looks like this series will be released by Spring 2018.

Looks like Atomcat next to Astro there! I don't mind the animation style, but I do have to admit that Ochanomizu looks a little weird. We'll have to see where this series goes as it gets developed over time!

That sure DOES look like Atomcat!

The character renditions look weird. Is that Dr. Tenma without a beard? Is that Hoshie or Yuko next to him? Professor Ochanomizu looks very strange in that view. Is that girl supposed to be Uran?

Looks like Astro is getting a lot of attention.

Also, the blue cat, does look at lot like Atomcat. The shiny band looks like the one we are all use to seeing on Astro.

Now that you mention it, they do kind of look like Tenma, Hoshie, and Uran. Perhaps they took creative liberties to give them unique designs in this series?

I'm thinking that that's definitely gotta be Atomcat too; if not, that character is heavily inspired by Atomcat. In fact, if you look on the red image, you'll see that "Atomcat" has jet boosters on the bottom of his feet and a waistband just like Astro does.

If that is Uran, then it's almost like Cobalt was resurrected as Atomcat!

I was just thinking that- in fact, I feel that it is distinctly possible, if they don't want the cat and the protagonist to share the same name (though they might, anyways- remember "Astrogirl"?).

Not really digging some of those designs, particularly for Ochan. I mean, it's creative and all, but...

Astro's mouth bugs me, yeah? And his proportions are kinda weird. Also, that girl sort of reminds me of Pinoko. The other two doctors/professors/whatever remind me of Duke Red and Sapphire a lil bit...

Interesting. I wonder what show will do better: this one or the reboot?

I think it's kind of funny how in the third image, Astro is wearing a shirt with his own head on it. Who does that???
It's also interesting that Astro has green eyes in this incarnation. Is it a trend or just coincidence?

These are pretty European designs, which is kinda interesting to me. Nigerian Little Astro Boy had an 80s anime style, since 80s anime like Superbook and The Little Prince still run out there. French Little Astro Boy has a kind of Marathon Media anime style (i.e. Totally Spies, Martin Mystery) crossed with a bande dessinée style that's especially evident in Ochanomizu. It seems like there's regional style touches for each series.

And yeah, that looks to me like Atomcat and a ginger Uran! The guy on the far left has a star on his jacket, which seems to indicate that he might be a police inspector. He kinda looks like Duke Red to me.

Forgot to mention it before, but where it says Format : 52 x 11’ / 2D / HD on the official website, the 52 x 11' means that there will be 52 episodes that are each 11 minutes long. So, the episode lengths are basically the same as the Nigerian Little Astro Boy (which has 12 minute episodes), but there will be a lot more episodes this time around (the Nigerian Little Astro Boy has 8 episodes).
