Can't wait to go home and see it! Too bad I'm scheduled to work in about 10 minutes, so it'll be over 3 hours before I can leave. :d oh:

EDIT:
My dad helped me translate some of the dialogue. At the end of the trailer, Ochanomizu says something like "I'm afraid..." and Tenma says "We'll be fine... because we're geniuses."

HOUSTON, MARCH 30, 2017 – Return to the astounding world of the godfather of manga, Osamu Tezuka (Black Jack, The Mighty Atom, Phoenix), in Sentai Filmworks’ newest acquisition: ATOM THE BEGINNING. Based on the original work by Tetsuro Kasahara, ATOM THE BEGINNING is the dramatic prequel series to Tezuka’s iconic manga,The Mighty Atom. The series will air exclusively in the U.S. on Anime Strike, the curated on-demand anime subscription from Amazon Channels.

After a great calamity in Japan, the world needed a hero: but did this hero need to be a god? Or a friend? Two young geniuses, Umataro Tenma and Hiroshi Ochanomizu, have labored extensively to create a powerful artificial intelligence to protect the future. The result of their collaboration was a robot, A106. In this previously untold story, Tenma and Ochanomizu lay the groundwork leading up to the birth of an android that would later change the world.

Katsuyuki Motohiro (Psycho-Pass, Ajin) acted as Chief Director, with Tatsuo Sato (Bodacious Space Pirates, Lagrange – The Flower of Rin-ne) as Director. Animation production for the series was helmed by Production I.G (Haikyu!!, Kuroko’s Basketball, Joker Game).

ATOM THE BEGINNING will soon be available to stream exclusively in the U.S. on Anime Strike, the curated on-demand anime subscription from Amazon Channels, with a home video release to follow. Anime Strike subscribers can stream new episodes every Saturday starting April 15. For Sentai Filmworks’ latest announcements regarding this and other great titles, be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.

Well that's an interesting business decision. AU$210 to watch a single TV show for a year, if they'll even let me in Australia, and the only compatible device I can watch it on is my phone. My phone is capped to 200MB/month, so as long as I don't make any phone calls I might even be able to watch the whole 12 episodes within a year. Truly we're living in the future.

After The Rain - (Kaidokufunou/Undecipherable/

(Instrumental)

The sky that's even transparent to me would look blue

My emotions that were unsure,
the love that you gave me,

They just cause errors to me who can't help but lose it all

Even if there's not a thing that's wrong
See, it doesn't prove to be true

(Main verse)

(Main verse) Without even a name to be called
It's only undecipherable log data

We were across the puddle of water up till now

Was it love?
Or was it indifference?

No matter how many times it's melted down there's no way to know

It's as if something may come flowing out

(High yelling part)

Just leave it alone now, please(High yelling part)

(Instrumental)

Why is it that a voice is made even when it's obviously unreachable

By the rumours close to hurtful words stuck all over with names

I've become unable to say my own name

Please tell me,
Who are you?

You know,
In the quiet the answer that is heard

Is over where the large mirror reflects

(Main verse)

(Main verse) No matter how many times it's been tried,
It's only a machine that copies optimism and can't even move right

No one ever teaches me love anyway

Even if it's taken apart,
Gotten rid of errors
Can't seem to find a hint of dust

Surely there is something there
Something that cannot be seen

It's beating

(Instrumental)

In the end, there doesn't seem to be any answers

It doesn't even become true
It doesn't even become true(it doesn't even exist)

The question cannot be deciphered

It's done

You know, it's okay now

(Main verse)

(Main verse) The data of emotion, eventually it'll have errors anyway

We're still across the puddle of water

Was it the loving heart,
Or the cold denial

No matter how many times it's melted down there's no way to know

Something,
It's as if something may come flowing out

What flows down my cheek

Just leave it alone now, please(high yelling part)

Someone on Youtube posted the full opening song and there happened to be Korean subtitles(Apparently that band has quite a few Korean fans XD) so I tried my best to translate them to English(The lyrics above aren't Japanese because I typed them down myself while looking at the Korean subtitles for the video. Sorry.)

Let me clarify since I don't know much about music terminology- The "main verse" is the... erm... main melody part? I hope you understand. I also labeled the "high yelling part"s just so you can kind of figure out which part of the song you're at XDDD

I didn't like the song at first but the more I listen to it the more catchy it gets! I love the opening instrumental and the high yelling part, so refreshing :3 The lyrics are quite sincere, I wonder if it's focusing on Tenma and Ochanomizu or A106, or all three?

Oh my goodness, thanks, YJ_Doodle! :w00t: Now I get to know what they're saying.

I believe what you referred to as the "main verse" is called the "chorus," if you were wondering. ;)
And yes, I can't stop listening to it, I'm trying to stop for a while so I don't wear it out, but it's just so guuud. xD

Any idea who voices Tenma in this series? I just watched the trailer and immediately recognized the VA from Osomatsu-san and Mob Psychoo 100. Great casting choice if so. I think he's a great VA.

Tenma is voiced by Yūichi Nakamura. Looks like he voiced Karamatsu in Osomatsu-san, but I don't see a voice credit for Mob Psycho 100.

You can see what he voice acted in in the following link:

EDIT: Also, big thank you to YJ Doodle for translating the lyrics for the ATB opening song!

Ah that's actually correct. I just double checked. I mixed his VA up with the one who voices Osomatsu (who voices Reigen in MP100). I recognized Karamatsu but incorrectly associated his VA with Reigen (been a while since I watched it so I was basing it off memory alone). My bad.
Either way I like the VA. :p
