A correction to my previous post; the next episode will actually air at the same time as the previous 6 episodes, which is 11 PM Japan Time. It will not be airing at 11 AM.

Also, episodes will resume tomorrow. Starting the second half already!

HOUSTON, TX, JUNE 23, 2017 - HIDIVE™ will soon begin streaming ATOM THE BEGINNING, the action-packed prequel series to Osamu Tezuka’s THE MIGHTY ATOM.

Episodes of ATOM THE BEGINNING will be available to stream on HIDIVE.com in June 2017 in the following territories: UK, Ireland, South Africa, Latin America, Netherlands, Scandinavia.

Sentai Filmworks describes the series:

“After a great calamity in Japan, the world needed a hero: but did this hero need to be a god? Or a friend? Two young geniuses, Umataro Tenma and Hiroshi Ochanomizu, have labored extensively to create a powerful artificial intelligence to protect the future. The result of their collaboration was a robot, A106. In this previously untold story, Tenma and Ochanomizu lay the groundwork leading up to the birth of an android that would later change the world.”

Merged your thread with the existing one.

This anime is honestly great for what it is. While I think the manga is better, the anime provides a lot to like. I'd recommend it.

I was watching the anime of atom the beginning on prime, (first 4 episodes so far) and noticed a few things.
The lab where Ochanomizo and Tenma work is called lab 7. Tenma confronted Atom in lab section 7 in the 2003 anime.
Ochanomizo's hair does look a bit like Atom's cowlicks, or at least like Tezuka's.
I'm a bit confused about the boy who worked for Mustachio, who is he?
A few of Tezuka's other characters show up, such as the doctor who healed Black Jack as a boy after he was injured by the land mine.

The boy is actually Mustachio (Shunsaku Ban, Higeoyaji) from the Astro Boy series! The guy who looks like Shunsaku Ban in Atom: The Beginning is Kensaku Ban, Shunsaku's father.

That's what I thought, but that brings in a few inconsistencies.
Shunsaku Ban's age for one. Actually, they have Ochanomizu being the same age as Tenma, which is wrong, he should be almost old enough to be Tenma's father, so Kensaku Ban appears to be the correct age for Shunsaku.
Also, Higeoyaji often displays a mistrust towards robots, which Kensaku does, while the young Shunsaku seems excited by them.

I've watched season I through episode 11. They even had "Jetter Mars" in there, though his character was more like that of Atlas than Mars. I wonder who this Dr. Lolo is supposed to be. She sounds like a female Dr. Yamanoue.
