Cobalt in the Manga

Postby Tetsuwan Penguin » 7 years ago

Tezuka continued to draw Tetsuwan Atom in manga into the 70's and 80's. However, I think the last appearance of Cobalt in the manga was about the time that the 1963 anime series ended. We know of his disappearance from the later anime's in favor of Atlas (boo, hisss), but AFAIK, he was never penned again by Tezuka after the first anime series ended.

Yes ,but in the manga he met a timely death two years after his first appearance, only to be revived for the first TV series.

We need to "Reboot" Cobolt!

Frankly, I believe there is room for both Coby AND Atlas in the Astro-verse!

I just wanted to add that although there were no appearances of "Cobalt/Jetto" after 1966, when the original TV series ended and no appearances in the manga after 1968; he is still more popular than Atlas as evidenced by the merchandise featuring Cobalt versus Atlas.

Hi, there AprilSeven! Good to know you're still around.

In other news, Atlas is looking for his long lost other brother who is not Astro :p

... and then he shockingly discovers that he is that long lost brother but was amnesic :D
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.
