Welcome back Haruka-chan! Looks like you were active before I joined the forums, so I don't know you too well, but it's good to see you return! We've been having quite a few old members returning in the last couple years, even if only for a one-off post.

Yes, the forums are definitely not as active anymore. With the rise of Discord and social media, it's seems that message boards are not quite as active as they once were (though they are still around!).

Definitely watch the Pluto anime! It's an awesome mature take on the Astro Boy series. You may have read the manga for it; there's a few small differences from the manga but not anything significant. The anime was one of my favorite things I experienced in 2023 and I'm sure it was for many others back then too!

Nice to meet you Shiyonasan. It is good to see a few of the old names around and still posting. I found the Discord but it’s just not the same as forums, which are much easier to see what topics people are discussing and keep conversation threads going. Especially when you are returning after awhile!

I was thinking about the Pluto series this week. I've only seen the first episode and it was really good. I should get back into it some time.

DrFrag good you are still around. Wow only the first episode and stopped! I can’t remember if I read all the Pluto manga, that came out awhile ago. Maybe I will watch it and then check what volumes I own.

Hey, new here. Just recently started getting into Astro Boy. I ended up finding a link to this site and just knew I had to join - I'm surprised I didn't find it earlier. Looking forward to interacting with you all!

Didn't see this message, oops. I've been watching the 1963 TV series. I plan on working my way up in chronological order with the TV shows.

My favourite's the 80s series because that's what I grew up with. I'll be interested to hear your views on how the different series compare without the bias that I have.
