Obscure Anime You Should Watch
All that really happens there with R is he and his friends are part of a Super Sentai team in a video some guys are watching. The next episode, he's renting Assemble Insert part one, and somehow gets off his bike to tell a guy about it while his bike careens into traffic.
Also, I dropped by the Key the Metal Idol Wikipedia page and found some tool had dropped a paragraph about random supernatural crap in the show summary, like they were adding their fan fiction to the plot. I went in and cut it out, for anyone wanting a more accurate page on the show.

My way of choosing what's obscure is by how many people wouldn't know what I'm talking about if I mentioned a show. I almost wrote a piece about Dr. Slump here, until I realized that one's known by all the Dragonball fans. And there's millions of them.
(Unless you don't know what obscure means...it's something not very well-known or unclear to most people.)

Ranma's pretty huge, actually. I've got some anime fanzines from the early nineties, and at least 1/3 of them are just dedicated to things about the series. And then another 1/3 is usually about Urusei Yatsura (which is also by Ranma's creator).

BAREFOOT GEN! I was just thinking about it this afternoon.
I read the first volume of manga when I was ten years old, back when I was first learning what manga was. To this day, I remember about half of it quite vividly, and I'm pretty sure I got some sweet, sweet childhood trauma from it. Which isn't to say it's not incredibly powerful, though.

I loved Urusei Yatsura anime, though not so much the manga. I watched all 62 discs borrowed from NF. Unfortunately, Ranma discs are not all available therefrom. What I would like to see is Arale-chan anime, that & [##***! I cannot remember the name of the goofy robot cat from the future!!], but I really love that one, too.
