Your Other Favourite Tezuka-related Stuff?

I'm curious... Which other Tezuka shows and mangas are you guys interested in? So far, I've watched and liked: Blackjack: The Movie, Jungle Emperor Leo: The Movie, Kimba, Jetter Mars, and Don Dracula. There isn't a single Tezuka story I've disliked so far! But I know there's so many I haven't watched! :D

I'm thinking of watching Metropolis next! I've heard it's excellent!

So, what are your favourite Tezuka mangas and animes, outside of Astro Boy? Also feel free to list the ones you haven't seen, but would like to.

(I'm not sure if there's already a thread like this. I checked about half the pages here and didn't find anything. If there is, I understand if this thread has to be removed, or merged with the other one.)

I've watched pretty much everything Black Jack related, from the 1990s OVA to the 2004 series to Black Jack 21. Also, Young Black Jack. All pretty good shows.

I've also watched the 13 Tezuka Experimental films, Jetter Mars, and read Phoenix, which all are great and I highly recommend.

Want to watch Metropolis as well at some point. Heard really good things about that movie.

You're fine. It's been years since a thread with this topic was posted because this forum has been very quiet lately.

Well in the Anime department there is the "Wonder Three", "Alakazam the Great", "Princess Knight", "The Phoenix", "Kimba","Melmo", "The Three Eye'd one", and "Dororo". I've seen episodes of all of these on Youtube, CrunchyRoll, and a few other sites. All of the ELV version of Kimba are available on DVD. (Blackjack was already mentioned, I have one DVD of that, and have seen most of the other episodes on Crunchyroll).

I myself am particularly fond of Black Jack in all of its renditions and Princess Knight. I also really appreciate some of his stand alone works such as Metropolis.

If I had to pick a favorite rendition collectively I would go with the 1990s Black Jack; the animation is stunning and the stories compelling.

Beware: Metropolis is sad. BJ is great; though it differs with several versions. The three-eyed One is also good.

The Metropolis anime was based on Tezuka's manga work, but was made after his death, and does not represent his vision of the story.
