Shonen Jump is a comic book witch includes these mangas:

Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Shaman King, Hikaru No Go, Yu Yu Hakusho, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece (these are the ones found in monthly Shonen Jump)

You know how after some anime it says "Shuisha Comics" or something like that, well that means Shonen Jump produced or it means it was originaly found in Shonen Jump (i think, but im pretty sure about the part that it was originaly found in shonen jump)

there is a Weekly Shonen Jump and I think there are some others but I am only familiar with the one I get wich comes out the first Tuesday of every month

I started collecting them in April 2003 and this is how the first issue I ever got looks like Image

It says it is May's issue because most magazines come out with the upcoming month's issue

you're on the right track but yet, you got some facts wrong.

Shueisha is the publishing house that produces Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan. Viz Communications has the license to translate and bring several titles to the American market.

yes, i grew up on titles from Shonen Jump when i was a kid. so yes, i do read the american edition of Shonen Jump just to re-read old titles.
