I can't connect to astroboy-online.com from my computer directly, this is my ip 70.74.231.70
I have to go threw an annonmiser, www.hidemy@$$.com to beable to log in GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
is there an ip block list in the server and can sombody remove my ip from it please
I have been frustrated for days thinking some hacker was running a DOS attack aganse the isp
server refusing my connections
As far as we now, there is no IP ban. However, Mark has connected the 5th, so I will check that he didn't add an IP in the ban list. Unfortunately, as moderators we can't access this list, even to view it.
Could you be more precise? What is the exact error? Does your connection timeout? Does it return immediately an error? In this case which one?

when I try to access astroboy-online directly firefox says
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at http://www.astroboy-online.com.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I also tried with the wget command
[diehard@diehardp4 ~]$ wget http://www.astroboy-online.com
--2010-06-06 16:11:29-- http://www.astroboy-online.com/
Resolving http://www.astroboy-online.com... 64.119.182.119
Connecting to http://www.astroboy-online.com|64.119.182.119|:80... failed: Connection refused.
[diehard@diehardp4 ~]$
when I monitored with wireshark to see what that told me the server would respond instintantly with a rst, ack packett, where as what I should be getting is a seq, ack, this tells me that the server is refusing my connections, scence my ip is dynamic then I can conclud that the isp hosting astroboy-online.com has an ip block line and the ip I am using now is on the list, this trouble started earler this week, Monday or Tuesday, I think my ip changed
I am thinking that I might call shaw and tell them to gie me a different ip

Why do you think we did not get thousands of hits a day during the movie promo?
Also note, we were making this movie behind the bamboo curtain in the face of hostile Cyberforces.
Are we having fun yet?

I am not saying this site spasificaly, I can't access a hole bunch of ip addresses from the hosting provider thet this site lives on, I have a sneaking suspition somebody who had this ip before me got it on a spam filter list or somthing like that, some of those lists block at the ip level, and I am just unluckey
I think I will call shaw tomoro and ask them to change my ip so I can stop using hidemyarse.com(slangified)
just so you all know I am a profesional computer tech.
