Well with the Sun going through a phase, and the ice caps shrinking the weather is going to get extreme I would predict. Will there be a chainreaction or tipping point? we'll see. Ever read Velikovsky...? hmy:

True! But we are not looking at a bit of water. The 0z0ne layer is now a sieve full of holes. This allows Solar radiations to strike the water and the Polar regions in various places causing increases in evaporation. I went through this analysis on this forum some time back. This causes increased precipitation in various places. The data indicated that if the sea level did not increase, the precipitation would have to. Produce inundation of some areas. Some areas may never be dry again. Somewhere there will be ancient dry areas that were once under water say, 14000 years ago, during the last thaw of the ice age, but were now dry, that would return to lakes and streams. The course of rivers would change.
As long as such process is in Bangladesh or some none industrialized Ari cultural area no one cared. But if cultivated ancient river valleys flood.....

The flood of Egypt is a good example. Even after the destruction of crops, when the water recedes, if it does stop. The cattle will be destroyed and the land will be overrun with skeeters and biting flies and frogs and vermin. All the houses will need to be gutted since now we have urban sprawl and urban real estate speculation in FLOOD PLAINS. The banking system will be adversely effected. Etc etc. But it is a cumulative chain reaction effect that may occur at some point.
